Designing the right technical security controls

Sopra Steria’s Security Architecture team engage with customers to deliver end to end services from architecture to design and implementation. Specialising in understanding business requirements and risks, ensuring that these are mitigated with appropriate security controls and operating models. These controls are integrated into business processes and projects in order to support stakeholder strategies and goals.

The architect and design function uses industry recognised standards to deliver high-level and low-level designs for technical solutions, calling on where appropriate the components that exist and can be built and implemented according to the agreed specification quickly and effectively.

Benefits

  • Alignment to security architecture frameworks that are tried and tested (e.g. SABSA).
  • Security architecture gap analysis and roadmap development to ensure that measures are appropriate to the data and the future of your solution.
  • Security design documentation and review supporting the development and deployment of security controls.
  • Embedding secure by design principles, bringing security ‘to the left’ and understanding the requirements earlier in the design phase.
  • Support a risk based approach to security controls, a pragmatic approach based on understanding of business requirements vs identified risks.
  • Development of security solution architecture to protect data.
