London, July 11 – Sopra Steriaa European Tech leader recognised for its consulting, digital services and software development, has achieved the Gold Award in the 2022 Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for its commitment to supporting the armed forces community and their families.

This accomplishment recognises Sopra Steria’s commitment to being a ‘forces-friendly’ organisation and is testament to the way the organisation has embedded this motto into its recruitment and selection process, HR policies and advocacy work.

The Gold Award of the Armed Forces Covenant’s ERS scheme acknowledges employers who pledge, demonstrate and advocate their support for the Defence and armed forces industry.

Internally this has included the setting up of an internal Armed Forces Network to support ex-service personnel, reserves, and their families and friends amongst employees. Externally the company has supported Walking with the Wounded as its key charity and advocated the ERS to its partners and supply chain.

Sue-Ellen Wright, Managing Director Aerospace Defence and Security at Sopra Steria, commented: We are absolutely delighted to have received the ERS Gold Award. This recognition proves Sopra Steria’s ongoing commitment to supporting defence, something which we take great pride in.
