Head of Data and AI Foundations

Susannah Matschke is Head of Data & AI Foundations at Sopra Steria, where she leads a team delivering data and AI transformation across UK Government, Defence, Financial Services, Retail and Utilities. She has grown the practice significantly and led multi-phase data and AI programmes for public sector and central government clients, taking them from initial discovery through to enterprise-wide implementation.

She was named 4th in the UK AI 100 Leaders list by Digital Leaders and recognised as one of Management Today's 35 Women Under 35 in Business. She is the founder of the Women in AI community at Sopra Steria, now over 40 members strong, built to support inclusion, confidence and education across the business.

Susannah holds an MSc in Data Science, Technology and Innovation from the University of Edinburgh and a First Class BSc (Hons) in Business Information Systems from Northumbria University. She speaks and writes regularly on AI adoption, data foundations, and getting more women into the AI conversation.
