Supporting Reservists

We provide ten days of paid leave for Reservists to serve with their unit, in recognition of the important work that this community carries out for our country. If our Reservists are required to mobilise for extended deployments, we protect their employment so that their role is there for them when they return.

A Key Official Partner of Walking With The Wounded

In July 2021, Sopra Steria announced its partnership with the military charity, Walking With The Wounded. The charity offers a number of programmes to support veterans with visible and invisible injuries that are struggling to transition to civilian life after leaving the forces. As part of our continued drive to make a positive contribution to the Armed Forces community, Sopra Steria will support the charity through various fundraising activities and by sharing our knowledge and expertise in consulting and technology, as part of our Tech For Good initiative.

Volunteering and Fundraising

We encourage employees’ volunteering and fundraising activities through paid leave and match funding. Thousands of pounds have been raised for Armed Forces community charities and work is in motion to go further, by offering the skills of our employees to military charities broadening opportunities for those in need.

Armed Forces Community Network

We have established an Armed Forces Support Network for employees, to provide fellowship for those who have experienced military life. The network allows employees to share exchanges in a supportive environment and provides help to those who need it.
