Unlocking potential in people and communities

Business and technology can be forces for good

Our Community Impact Team is where we bring this ambition to life by creating opportunities for people to improve their lives and empower social-good organisations to scale their work to make a bigger difference to those they serve – all by tapping into the drive, creativity and passion of our people. Meet the Sopra Steria Community Impact programme.

Our programme

We focus on building relationships with charities that closely link to what we are trying to do as an organisation and work with them to help make a real difference to those that need support. This is done in a number of ways from befriending veterans to hosting workplace visits for students that may never have had the chance.

Our corporate technology partners

Inspiring young people to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) through interactive events and initiatives.
Working to create better places, improve prospects, and promote greener living by supporting communities facing multiple challenges.
Helping vision-impaired ex-servicemen and women to rebuild their lives through rehabilitation, training, and emotional support.
Empowering young people globally to build skills for a brighter future through education, employment, and enterprise programmes.
A national social mobility charity that delivers programmes to develop personal and employability skills for young people from less advantaged backgrounds.
Empowering young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed in the changing world of work through enterprise and financial education.
Supports the families of police officers and staff who have lost their lives on duty.

What does this look like?

Supporting workplace visits with Villiers Park Educational Trust

Through our partnership with Villiers Park Educational Trust we have hosted multiple workplace visits in both London and Edinburgh. We have hosted sessions on CV's and Interviews, the latest technology impacting organisations and speed networking sessions to introduce the students to the variety of careers that we have at Sopra Steria.

Sponsoring awards at the TeenTech UK awards

The TeenTech Awards were established in 2012/3 and schools have found them a powerful tool, helping students to see how they might apply science and technology to real world problems. Sopra Steria UK and NHS SBS have sponsored "Best Innovation", "Best use of AI" and "Patient Health" in 2024 and now in 2025. Our relationship has enabled us to provide feedback and support to hundreds of different projects and ultimately select the winners for each category.
