Inclusion in ranking underlines company’s ongoing commitment to being a people-centric organisation

July 20, London, UK – Sopra Steria, a European Tech leader, recognised for its consulting, digital services and software development, has today announced it has been ranked in Great Place to Work’s (GPTW) UK Best Workplaces™ for Women listing.

Hot on the heels of the business securing rankings in GPTW UK’s Best Workplaces and Wellbeing listings, this latest accolade is further recognition of Sopra Steria’s commitment to becoming a more value-led organisation which puts its people first.

The organisation has a range of initiatives to influence gender equality, promote female inclusion, and make sure women can thrive in their careers at Sopra Steria. This includes several talent schemes, a female mentoring programme, diverse recruitment initiatives and enhanced maternity pay.

Sopra Steria’s Women’s Inclusive Network offers a safe space to build relationships with like-minded colleagues, expand professional networks, and be inspired by peers. With over 400 members, the network also organises workshops and hosts bi-annual Inspiring Women Awards.

John Neilson, Chief Executive Officer at Sopra Steria UK, commented, “We are delighted to be recognised for our ongoing commitment to ensuring a positive workplace for all. It’s part of our heritage, with gender equality embedded in the foundations of our ways of working from the beginning. We have always been advocates of gender balance and supporting women to reach their full potential.

“We know that developing our female talent isn’t only the right thing to do, but it has – and will continue to – help our business succeed. We look forward to attracting even more talented women to enjoy fulfilling careers at Sopra Steria.”

The ranking follows a rigorous assessment process, including a survey of UK Sopra Steria employees. 85% of the ranking is based on what women themselves report about the workplace. The survey measures the extent to which women say their organisations create a Great Place to Work For All™ - for example, whether people trust each other and employees are able to reach their full potential, no matter who they are or what they do. The remaining 15% rank is based on how well-represented women are in the workforce and throughout management.
