After his first career in the Royal Navy, James has worked in both the private and public sectors. Upon leaving the Royal Navy after 18 years as a Warfare Officer James initially worked in consulting, specialising in people change workstreams in complex transformation programmes.
In 2017 he left consulting and took his transformation leadership skills into the public sector, supporting then leading major programmes in the Office for National Statistics and the MoD. His last role in the MoD was in Defence Business Services, where he was responsible for the contract delivering HR and pension services to serving personnel and veterans.
James joined Sopra Steria in 2021, initially as head of Defence Consulting before moving into the business development role for the wider Sopra Steria Aerospace, Defence and Security business.
