Craig Wilson became CEO of Sopra Steria UK in July 2026, following eight successful years as Managing Director of the company’s Private Sector business, which consistently grew under his leadership. During this time, he transformed the financial services division and led the delivery of critical services for major UK and global organisations. He was appointed Deputy CEO in January 2026 as part of his succession to the role.
As CEO, Craig is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of Sopra Steria UK, working closely with the Group to strengthen the company’s position across its key markets. He is focused on helping clients realise the opportunities created by AI, digital innovation and business transformation, while delivering sustainable growth and long-term value.
Known for his collaborative and people-focused leadership style, Craig combines strategic vision with a strong focus on execution. He is committed to creating an inclusive culture that empowers teams to navigate change with confidence and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients, customers and communities.
Before joining Sopra Steria, Craig spent 18 years at HSBC where he held a number of senior roles.
Outside work, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife and young children and remains a long-suffering Newcastle United supporter.
