Sopra awarded a place on HM Government CloudStore Framework Agreement

Sopra has been awarded a place on the HM Government CloudStore Framework Agreement, an online marketplace that is set to make buying cloud services a simple, end-to-end experience for public sector organisations in the UK.  CloudStore is part of the G-Cloud programme: a pan-Government initiative that is a fundamental part of the Government ICT strategy.

In order to support its stated target that 50% of future IT spend for Government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector should be on Cloud ICT services, the Government has introduced the G-Cloud online marketplace for services.  These services can be reviewed and then purchased through the CloudStore.  Currently there are four categories of service within CloudStore (Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service and Specialist Cloud Services).

Sopra has been approved as a supplier in the Specialist Cloud Services lot and is providing the four following offerings:

  • Cloud Readiness Assessment
  • Application to Cloud Migration Study
  • Assurance Services
  • Integration Services

CloudStore is already providing online catalogue access to centrally negotiated arrangements for products and services to over 4000 public sector bodies across the UK.

"At the Government Procurement Service our priority is to provide procurement savings for organisations across the UK public sector.  The inclusion of Sopra to the G-Cloud Framework will strengthen our offering and provide public sector buyers with a tried and tested route to achieve value for money." Marie-Helene Durif, Head of Sourcing & Category Management - ICT, At the Government Procurement Service
