Sopra has been awarded a place on the HM Government CloudStore Framework Agreement, an online marketplace that is set to make buying cloud services a simple, end-to-end experience for public sector organisations in the UK. CloudStore is part of the G-Cloud programme: a pan-Government initiative that is a fundamental part of the Government ICT strategy.
In order to support its stated target that 50% of future IT spend for Government departments, local authorities and the wider public sector should be on Cloud ICT services, the Government has introduced the G-Cloud online marketplace for services. These services can be reviewed and then purchased through the CloudStore. Currently there are four categories of service within CloudStore (Infrastructure as a Service, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service and Specialist Cloud Services).
Sopra has been approved as a supplier in the Specialist Cloud Services lot and is providing the four following offerings:
- Cloud Readiness Assessment
- Application to Cloud Migration Study
- Assurance Services
- Integration Services
CloudStore is already providing online catalogue access to centrally negotiated arrangements for products and services to over 4000 public sector bodies across the UK.
