Glasgow, UK, 7 June 2016: Sopra Steria, a European leader in digital transformation, has today announced a new partnership with Edrington, the Scotland-based international drinks company, to upgrade its production systems with the development of the Aspire Bulk Stock Management System. The contract will begin with the renewal of all stock management systems and processes. It will continue as a close partnership as Sopra Steria supports the system on an ongoing basis.
The solution will support key business processes such as sampling, blending and technical reporting. Sopra Steria is working side-by-side with Edrington to tailor the solution, ensuring that it is user-driven in order to increase productivity and efficiency. A key part of the solution involves alignment and reporting to HM Revenues and Customs, something which Sopra Steria and Edrington have worked on closely to make as efficient and standardised as possible.
Edrington is replacing its AS400 based application and it was Sopra Steria’s local presence, capabilities and knowledge that won the contract. The competitive tendering process ended in a week-long discovery period, where Sopra Steria worked with Edrington to demonstrate that it was the best partner to help modernise the system in a way that was completely tailored and would be supported start to finish by a hands-on local team.
