Sopra Steria shortlisted for a 2015 National Outsourcing Association Award

Sopra Steria is delighted to be named as a finalist in the National Outsourcing Association Awards (NOAAs) category “Telecommunications, Utilities and High-Tech Outsourcing Project of the Year” alongside distinguished organisations in our marketplace.

NOA Awards 15 Finalist logoThis nomination is in recognition of the transformational offshoring project for our client Morrison Utility Services.

Morrison Utility Services (MUS) is the UK’s leading utility services provider. It works with blue chip utility companies across the electricity, gas, rail, telecommunications and water sectors on the upgrade and maintenance of their infrastructure and networks, including electricity substations, water and gas pipes, electricity and telecommunications cables and metering.

In a 10-year strategic partnership we are delivering key aspects of the administrative work from our offshore delivery centre in Noida. This innovative business process outsourcing (BPO) contract, a UK first, demonstrates that there is considerable scope to expand offshoring from the more traditionally undertaken Finance and Accounting, Human Resource and Customer Service BPO contracts. As a result, the programme is delivering value for money and increased quality with continuous process improvement and innovation for MUS.

In support of the submission for this award, MUS Director for Business Process Improvement Andy Carter said: “We enjoy a great working relationship with Sopra Steria. From small beginnings, we have proven with them that the offshore model can work for appropriate processes.

The National Outsourcing Association Awards, now in its twelfth year, recognises and celebrates the efforts of companies who have demonstrated best-practice in outsourcing. Winners will be announced in London on Thursday 19th November 2015. See the full list of categories and finalists
