Sopra Steria volunteers helping improve digital inclusion in Harrow

Monday 9 October 2017
Pinner Library, 78 Marsh Rd, Pinner HA5 5NQ

Volunteers from Sopra Steria will be at Pinner library (12.30 - 4.30pm) to deliver gadget surgeries, supporting the drive to ensure that everyone should have access to the technology and technology skills that help them in their day-to-day activities.

In these gadget surgeries our volunteers will help attendees to learn new tricks and get the most out of laptops, mobiles phones or tablets, and helping with queries such as:

  • Searching for information on the internet
  • Sending email
  • Attaching documents and photos to email
  • Organising a photo library
  • Setting up online accounts
  • Accessing library services

Steve Mulcahy, Harrow Council Client Director, Sopra Steria commented, “Our people are passionate about helping others use technology that can make life better - for example, helping people stay in touch with family and friends. Volunteering in Harrow’s libraries is a great way to interact with the community on this.”
