Sopra Steria sponsors BPSO Proms Night Spectacular

Saturday 3 December 2016

 19:30, Symphony Hall, Birmingham

The British Police Symphony Orchestra returns to Birmingham’s Symphony Hall this December for a night of music, fun and fireworks.

Once again, Sopra Steria is pleased to sponsor the event.

Prepare to be amazed at this year’s exciting programme,  including:

  • Music from Puccini’s Madame Butterfly and Wagner’s Lohengrin featuring soprano Claire Prewer
  • Walton’s Spitfire Prelude & Fugue
  • Suite from the Lord of the Rings
  • John Williams’ Raiders March (from Indiana Jones)
  • Scherzo for Motorbike & Orchestra
  • Beethoven’s rarely performed Battle Symphony featuring a live performance from the Kings Own Regiment of Musketeers

The concert will conclude with the traditional ‘Proms Night’ Jerusalem, Rule, Britannia!, Land Of Hope & Glory, and a spectacular fireworks finish. Tickets can be booked online.

The orchestra draws its members from across the police forces of the UK. Players are all either serving or retired police officers, police staff or other members of the extended police family.
