Organisations need to demonstrate that they are managing IT risk, to their board and often to their regulators as well. However, the board and regulators are not experts in IT risk and don’t know what ‘good’ looks like.
A customer-centric approach creating a line of sight between business and IT services and getting business buy-in to agreed NFRs can provide an effective baseline of data to derive business focused IT risk indicators.
