Sopra Steria supporting the launch of Digital Leaders Scotland

The Digital Leaders Programme has just been launched in Scotland, with the inaugural salon meeting being held in Edinburgh on 3 April 2014.

The Digital Leaders programme serves as an independent focal point of engagement and resource network for individuals and organisations across the UK and beyond who are committed to delivering sustainable and innovative digital transformation.

Sopra Steria is supporting the launch in Scotland and helping drive one of the key aims of Digital Leaders: to expand the digital network and make it more representative of the wide views surrounding digital transformation by providing opportunities for digital leaders to meet locally.

About the Digital Leaders Scotland launch event

The Digital Leaders Scotland first Salon event will focus on the UK Government's strong mantra of 'No more BIG IT'. This approach has been radically changing the landscape for procurement and delivery of government IT services over the last 12 months.  At this interactive event, we will explore whether a similar approach could and should be adopted in Scotland and what would be the associated risks and benefits for government, citizens and the Scottish economy as a whole.

"I am delighted that Digital Leaders Scotland is the second regional programme to be launched. Working with our partners Sopra Steria and Socitm I look forward to hearing more about what the Digital Leaders in Scotland are discussing. The Digital Leaders programme will continue to build its reputation for offering great networking, being content rich, and of course importantly, being free to attend." Robin Knowles, Digital Leaders Founder

The programme will include monthly salon meetings, webinars and Digital Leaders Monthly networking drinks.

"We are very pleased to be part of the Digital Leaders programme in Scotland.  It's a great opportunity for people working in organisations across Scotland to discuss the important issues relating to digital transformation and to share ideas and experiences." Alison McLaughlin, Head of Public Sector, Industry & Services, Sopra Steria
