A team from Sopra Steria’s Infrastructure Management Shared Service Centre in Warrington, Cheshire will test their cycling prowess and take part in The Christie NHS Foundation Trust Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride on 12 July 2015.
This is The Christie’s largest cycling event and attracts more than 7,000 riders. Its 60-mile route starts at the Manchester United stadium, Old Trafford and passes through country lanes to the finish on the South Promenade at Blackpool. Here, participants will enjoy a barbecue, live music and a well-earned massage.
Along with their support for The Christie, which is one of Europe's leading cancer centres based in Manchester, Sopra Steria's cyclists have Prostate Cancer UK as their chosen charity and aim to raise in excess of £2,500 through their Just Giving website and text donation options.
Sopra Steria is committed to supporting those who dedicate time and effort to making a difference to their community, providing the team with their cycling outfits and making a donation to Prostate Cancer UK. If you are in the area, look out for their distinctive Sopra Steria jerseys!
We wish our 16 cyclists the very best of luck – why not follow their training and event day progress on Twitter?
A post-event report will be published later in July.
