One year ago, Sopra Steria and Dods Research carried out a Digital Trends Survey of the entire UK Civil Service. This is a longitudinal study that we are repeating annually.
The aim of the research is to better understand how civil servants view digital transformation and the value it brings to their organisations, themselves and citizens. It also looks at how digital transformation contributes to the civil service’s future plans and a self-assessment of progress to date. By undertaking this online survey each year we anticipate identifying interesting trends and insights into what is needed to maximise the benefits from the digital revolution.
We were pleased to have a very high response rate last year of 2,374 across all grades and Government departments, providing us with a very representative sample. We hope to replicate this success again in 2016.
Next instalment: launches 15th March 2016
The follow-up Digital Trends Survey is now available to explore the progress made, one year on. If you are a civil servant and hope to be part of this important discussion on the future of digital transformation in Government, then keep an eye out for an invitation to complete the survey in your inbox.
