Moving to the Cloud: Keeping Data Safe - first Digital Leaders Scotland salon of 2016

Thursday 28 January 2016
4pm - 6pm, Edinburgh

The first Digital Leaders Scotland salon of 2016 is titled “Moving to the Cloud: Keeping Data Safe".

It is vital that those responsible for public sector data as well as their suppliers make appropriate and safe choices when considering using cloud computing services. When thinking about cloud computing there are many dimensions which must be taken into account, including data protection, data security and data jurisdiction.

These considerations apply to any form of technology service, but can become more complex in the cloud, where the cloud platform may be shared with many other unknown tenants, and where customer data may be stored and processed in many different jurisdictions.

Join the lead discussants including: John Godwin, Director of IA & Compliance at Skyscape Cloud Services and Mandy Haeburn-Little, the Director of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre (SBRC) and also get a glimpse of the very latest research report from KPMG, “Moving to the Cloud: Key Security Considerations”.

Join the debate by registering for the event at the DL website.

Sopra Steria is proud to support both Digital Leaders Scotland and Digital Leaders Northern Ireland, helping to organise and host their digital salons.
